Domestic parcels can be sent to the post office that is closest to the addressee and a notification will be left in the addressee’s mailbox to collect the item.
Mainland Portugal - up to 3 working days
Madeira - up to 5 working days
Azores - between 7 and 15 working days after the postmark
Types of payment
Occasional clients: any item sent by the parcel service must be handed in at a post office and should be accompanied by a specific document for the effect, the service is paid for when the post office accepts the item.
Contracted mail services: the parcel items should be handed in at a post office accompanied by an individual document for each item and a list of the items being sent in a single batch that will be used to calculate the monthly payment for the service.
Advantages
Insurance: Normal parcel items are covered by insurance, according to the weight of the object at the rate of €11.68/kg up to a maximum limit of 350 euros, against theft, total or partial destruction and loss.
