Domestic Registered Mail is a product that ensures a high degree of security for your mail.
It is the ideal solution for sending important or valuable documents and objects because it offers:
- special, priority handling
- control over each individual item
- a receipt that is issued when the item is mailed at the Post Office
- a barcode with a unique identification number that allows the item to be located at any given moment from the time it is mailed to when it is delivered to the addressee (Track & Trace)
- The price includes insurance in the event that of loss, damages or complete destruction. The compensation is calculated according to the formulae given below.
Types of Registered Mail
There are 3 kinds of Registered Mail:
- Ordinary Registered Mail: The item is deposited in the addressee’s mailbox.
Insurance value: 5 times the price of the first weight category.
- Signed Delivery: The item is delivered personally to the addressee’s address.
A receipt is obtained signed by the individual who accepts delivery of the item.
Insurance value: 10 times the price of the first weight category.
- Personal Delivery: item is delivered in person only to the addressee after the individual has provided due identification.
The cost includes proof of delivery.
Insurance value: 15 times the price of the first weight category or the value declared on the Extra Insurance form.
